Danielle earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Minor in Social Work degree from San Diego State University, a Master of Social Work degree in Children, Youth, and Families from California State University, Long Beach, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She is awarded two honorary degrees in Doctoral Philosophy and Doctoral Divinity for her spiritual life pursuits and the theological study of Differing Holy Moments: An Inquiry of the Archetypal Numinous in Prenatal Attachment.
Danielle Burns has more than 20 years of experience designing innovative programs for populations spanning across various religious, educational, and professional backgrounds. She is experienced in reducing barriers to mental health in multicultural groups and in providing counseling services for diverse populations.
Her primary areas of focus include addressing mental health challenges, including the social, ecological, and psychological dynamics of multicultural people, and fostering success and wellness in all areas of life. She has proven training and ability to educate diverse students in their chosen areas of personal well-being and academic success through culturally proficient individual, group, and community interventions.
Danielle is a Research Methodology professor in the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling (MACC) program at Point Loma Nazarene University.
